Sydney First for Hanson Smart Builds

In a Sydney first, Hanson Smart Builds is delivering mini tipper loads to metropolitan work sites from its Enfield plant. It’s a bold strategic move designed to support the Smart Builds promise of premium service and delivery to local trades.

Smart Builds Project Manager Sam Kelly says, ”Earlier this year we launched our mini tipper fleet so we could be more responsive to the requirements of local trade businesses. Delivering from our Enfield plant provides our customers with flexible ordering options and the ability to lock in a delivery window.”

Designed for small load orders of crusher dust, drainage, road base and sand, the mini tipper fleet began delivering from Enfield on October 22nd. In 10 days of operation 105 tonnes has been delivered to Sydney customers.

Says Kelly, “One of our first customers was a local plumber who ordered 30 tonnes of coarse dust for the back fill of a road that urgently needed to be stabilized. Our mini tipper was a convenient option as the ordering process was prompt, we could guarantee him a delivery window and the size of the mini tipper was able to negotiate the tight space where the load was to be tipped off.”

Smart Builds is serious business for Hanson with the company determined to meet the day-to-day needs of local businesses. In a significant investment it has tripled the size of its mini fleet and is running a dedicated account management team for Smart Builds customers. In addition they promise competitive pricing, priority deliveries, flexible ordering and a trading account.
