Data Protection

Hanson takes the protection of your personal data very seriously and strictly observes the regulations of the data protection legislation.

Personal data are details of personal or material circumstances of an identified or identifiable individual. These include information such as your name, address, telephone number or date of birth. Information that is not directly linked to your actual identity – e.g. favourite webpages or number of users of a site – is not personal data.

On this website, personal data are only collected to the extent that is technically necessary. Under no circumstances are the collected data sold or passed on to third parties for other reasons.

The declaration below gives you an overview of how we guarantee this protection and what sort of data are collected for what purpose.

Data processing on this website

Hanson automatically collects and stores information transmitted to us by your browser in its server log files. This includes

  • browser type/version
  • operating system used
  • referrer URL (the previously visited site)
  • host name of the computer accessing the site (IP address)
  • time of the server request

Hanson cannot attribute these data to specific individuals. These data are not amalgamated with other data sources. Furthermore, the data are deleted after statistical analysis. Additional personal details such as your name, address, telephone number or e-mail address are not collected unless these details are volunteered by you, e.g. as part of a registration, survey, competition, execution of an agreement or request for information.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service from Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files stored on your computer that enable the analysis of the way you use the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transmitted to a Google server in the US, where it is then stored. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activities for website operators and to provide other services associated with website and Internet usage. Where necessary, Google will also transfer this information to third parties if required to do so by law, or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Google will not link your IP address with other data held by Google. You may refuse to install cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser; however, please be aware that if you do so you may not be able to use the full functions of this website. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data collected about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes described above.

Permission for Google Analytics to collect and store data can be withdrawn at any point in the future using a browser extension, which is available from http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en. In addition, this website uses an anonymous function for the IP address to ensure it can only be processed by Google in its shortened form so as to completely exclude the possibility of a connection being made with a individual.

Use and disclosure of the personal data

We use the personal data made available by you exclusively for the purpose of technical administration of the webpages and to fulfil your wishes and requirements, i.e. to respond to your query. Your personal data is not passed on, sold or otherwise transmitted to third parties unless this is necessary for the purposes of executing an agreement or you have expressly consented to such activities.

Cookies

Some of the webpages use so-called cookies. Their purpose is to make our Internet presence more user-friendly, more effective and more secure. Cookies are small text files that are filed on your computer and stored by your browser. Most of the cookies we use are 'session cookies'. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain viruses. If you do not want cookies to be stored on your hard disk, you can adjust your browser's settings accordingly.

Security

As part of the administration of our webpages, we have taken technical and organisational measures to protect your data from wilful or accidental manipulation, access by third parties, loss, deletion and modification. We make improvements to this protection on an ongoing basis in line with technical progress.
