- Remand facility located in Melbourne’s outer Western suburbs.
- With the concrete being pumped into vertical formwork to make the cell-walls, Baulderstone required a premixed concrete that provided a good off-form finish with little to no vibration.
- A competitor’s mix was being used by Baulderstone, but it segregated badly with a poor surface finish.
- A special premixed concrete was developed by Hanson, with a super-workable design that required little or no compaction, was highly cohesive and pumped easily.
- Hanson’s Technical Team also suggested improvements to placement techniques, making several trips to Truganina to monitor the work in progress
