• The massive Sino Iron project being developed at Cape Preston is located 100 kilometres south west of Karratha
• With an estimated Value of $5.2 billion, it is currently the largest magnetite mining and processing operation under construction in Australia
• A concrete component in excess of 300,000m3 is needed and Hanson is one of 3 concrete producers on the project, contracted directly to MCC Mining
• Over a 15 month production period, Hanson has supplied 53,000m3 of concrete
• The mobile plant is located 10km from the construction site, containing a single head Porta- Batch system, incorporating two 70 tonne portable silo's, capable producing up to 60m3 of concrete per hour
• Hanson also operated a full-time NATA accredited annex laboratory to meet the project requirements
